Haig were appointed in July 2016 as main contractor when the previous contractor went into Liquidation. The project had a retained façade and a partially complete concrete frame inside when Haig took over the project.
Our main focus was on getting the project up and running as soon as possible and to provide the client with the cost certainty to give the funders comfort that the project was now in safe hands.
The Project is approximately 20,000 sq.ft. in total with four separate office units behind the original façade and seven duplex apartments in a modern two-storey structural steel, glass and Zinc extension protruding above the retained façade.
The site is on a main road with offices on one side, residential on the other and a Poppy factory behind which provides work for ex-servicemen, a few of whom are disabled. This often has visits from classes of school children, all of whom had to be provided with access at the rear of the site.
The Duplex apartments are fitted out to a very high standard with bespoke bathrooms and Kitchens and full front façade views of the Thames on both floors to maximise the value.
The Offices have original exposed brickwork and are fitted out to a CAT A finish including fully fitted kitchens and WC’s.
Other features include a twelve vehicle Car Stacker ground source heat pumps and solar panels to maximise green credentials.
