Haig are pleased to have been appointed as Main Contractor by The Collective to complete the construction of Phase 2 of their Residential Development at Gunnersbury Lane adjacent to Acton Town tube station.
The Collective are one of the market leaders in Co-living in London, and are the developers behind the award winning scheme at Old Oak with 550 bedrooms.
We are undertaking the scheme on a Design and Build basis, which consists of the construction of a 35 residential units over 6 storeys. Due to the confines of the site, we are looking to maximise the amount of offsite construction. After considering a number of options we have selected to use a timber frame solution for the building structure and bathroom pods to each of the bedrooms, which will be installed progressively as the frame is erected. Works are expected to commence on site in March 2018 with completion by Christmas 2018.
Greg Layzell – Construction Director for Haig said “We are really looking forward to delivering our first project for The Collective, the tight site and the need to utilise MMC construction techniques make this an exciting and challenging project for us”.
